Hi from Ms. Pink!

Posted in C-Litter on September 15th, 2011 by Pete

Hi Peter, Lily is just wonderful. She loved chasing tennis balls, sticks, splashing in the pond and stream, and is quite a hit at the dog park. Everyone who meets her adores her. She is such a regal looking dog with a incredibly sweet disposition.

She was spayed on June 9, 2011 by Dr. Brault who practices at Kevin j. craw veterinarian, PC in Wilton,CT. Hope you are doing well!-Candace

Neverland Puppy Status – Chester

Posted in C-Litter on September 15th, 2011 by Pete

Hi Peter.

Chester is the joy of our life. He is happy, friendly with other dogs and people, silly and a brute for his age. He weighs almost 80 lbs but is very athletic, fearless and fit. He is an inveterate swimmer at our lake place in Pennsylvania and a diver. He leaps off our dock after a ball or toy and my son Brett is jokingly offering to train him for those distance water jumping events. He as you know is now closing in on 10 months and was neutered at 8 mos. He watches TV at times if there is a dog, a horse or a ball of any type involved, which to us is very funny. He is pretty much always by our side although unlike our previous guy Rufus he is more independent and likes to explore. He is a great watchdog also, pretending to be fierce when in reality he is a baby. He is in great health, has all his shots, eats adult food now which we have gotten from a very learned woman about feeds: Pronature Holistic (Canadian company). We have two neighbors who walk him – one we call the dog whisperer because he often takes 4 at a time and they all listen to him like he was God. Our daily walker is another neighbor who used to do twice daily but now only once. We are giving him a little gradual autonomy from his crate when we are out, but he loves his crate. In short we love him and he has a wonderful home. We are bad with pictures but will take some and send them along. All or Best Rus and Nancy Sykes

Chester at Home

Posted in C-Litter on March 1st, 2011 by Peter

Chester has made it home and is doing very well in his new environment. The following is an update from his owner:

Wanted to give you an update. First, he is just a really great puppy. He has pretty much adapted since Day 1.  Chester is also a real character and has quite a swagger to him when he is out and about – after doing what he is meant to, he will grab the part of his leash by his collar in his mouth and prance home very proudly. He has met neighborhood people and other dogs and adjusted very well.

We had our whole family here last weekend: our daughter and her fiance as well as our son and his girlfriend. Chester got slathered with attention and played so hard he slept for almost a day after they left. He also loved the fire in the fireplace.

We have had a lot of snow and he seems to thrive on it – loves to burrow his nose under it, make little tunnels and generally romp around and pounce on things.  He is doing quite well on the housebreaking although there are still occasional accidents, mostly in his daytime crate……

….. In short he is joy and we adore him. “

The C-Litter puppies are 11 weeks old and all living with their adopted families. It looks like Henry, the Kennelly’s original Flat-coat, has adopted Pippas as his little sister. Check out these pictures just recieved from Liz.

Lily Update

I recieved a few picture of Lily at the Bank’s home. She looks so adorable in this first image.

I think they’ve got a wee bit of snow, don’t you?

Snowball Chase

Here is what mom says about this picture:
“Also love the one of Chip on top of our snow mountain tossing snowballs down to her.  The two of them have become fast friends.”

Also, it turns out that Lily and Pippa are almost neighbors, so stay tuned for a puppy reunion in the near future.

The Stick Chase

Posted in C-Litter on February 6th, 2011 by Peter

This time of year, the yard is full of sticks which are like treats to the dogs. If a dog finds a stick, the others will immediately mug him. The hierarchy of the pack is in full effect and Chester is at the bottom of the pack.

Everything starts calmly as you can see in this picture

Morgan and Chester

But then, Chester spot a stick in the yard.

Henry and Pippa

Posted in C-Litter on February 2nd, 2011 by Peter

Here is an update from Liz on Pippa.

“Hi Peter,

Quick update:

Pippa continues to thrive – I cannot believe she’ll be ten weeks this Saturday!  She has 100% become a fixture in our family, and she and Henry truly have become best buds.  The pictures below demonstrate what goes on in the house constantly (as we’ve been stuck inside so much because of weather).

Henry has shown Pippa one of his favorite games – which is to push a tennis ball under the chair, and then go after it, over and over again.  They also wrestle (see second picture) – it’s so cute to see Henry being gentle with her (most of the time).  She loves to pounce right on his head!

What fun we are having!

🙂 Liz”
